We No Longer Doubt What Koenigsegg Can Do!

At this point in time, there needn’t more emphasis that Koenigsegg is producing crazy, bemusing and almost bewildering hypercars. They’ve cut a niche in their league.

As if the Koenigsegg Agera RS, the fastest hypercar making a top speed of 278 mph wasn’t enough teasing of our brains, the guys down in Sweden are now making a more bonkers hypercar. They’ve named it the Koenigsegg Jesko, being a tribute to the CEO’s father Jesko von Koenigsegg. This is one of a truly bonkers car.

The Jesko wears a now-familiar brand engine. It is a VB twin-turbocharged with a 5.0-liter capacity.

It has received immense updates to benefit the new car. We are talking of now revies flat-plane crankshaft a redefined intake system and each cylinder has been given three fuel injectors where the Agera had two drinking pipes.

This massive powertrain produces a grappling 1281 horsepower. This is a significant rise from the equally bonkers Agera that does 1160 horses.

It is the Jesko’s automatic transmission system that produces some more juice to sip through. It is a nine-speed multi-clutch whose controls are on the steering wheel.

It also makes use of-mounted paddle shifters as well as a shift lever mounted on the center console. The company has branded this the Light Speed Transmission (LST).

In simplifying this system, all you need to know is that you can shift and shuffle through any gears without affecting the vehicle’s torque. Whether you do an eight-to-third downshift or a second-to-ninth upshift, the Jesko will keep moving as if nothing really happened.

Revealed at the 2019 Geneva International motor Show, the Jesko is expcted to hit the road sometimes in 2020. Even as early as now, we can bet it will be an outstanding record breaker just like the Agera or any Koenigsegg for that matter.
