The Car That Knows The History Of Global Racing

The Alpine A110 is not new to the streets of epic racing. It is a car that has been there done that. It has written its own history in a way that several generations of motor sporting will admire. In a nutshell, Renault built the Alpine A110 as one of the finest cars in car racing.

The brand is seeking to rewrite history and perhaps claim some of the foregone glory with the new A110 Rally, built with a special focus to compete on a global platform. Back in 1973 when the first-ever World Rally Championship, Renault was somewhat testing the new global platform with the Alpine A110, having just fully acquired the Alpine company.

It went on to win and perform way beyond expectations, building itself a name and cementing its place at the world stage. Fast forward to modern-day Apline and you have a handsome car that is ready to knock down any hurdles thrown it’s way.

It benefits from an easy-going 1.8-liter turbocharged engine that produces 249 bhp. It is the same performance engine found on the iconic Renaultsport Megane.

Weighing just a little more than 2,400 pounds(1,100 kg), the Alpine 110 is a capable certainly trending with modernity. It has to beat the likes of Porsche 718 Cayman, Alfa 4C, Lotus Elise/Exige and the four-cylinder Jaguar F-type. Either way, it still stands as a vehicle that can put up a good race anytime, anywhere.
