Audi has dropped the four-cylinder and gone all in on a turbo V6. Add in some sporty chassis tricks, and the new A6 feels more exciting than ever.

The 2026 Audi A6 is here, and it’s coming with some big changes that buyers have been waiting for. First things first: no more four-cylinder engine. Audi has decided to go all in with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. It packs 362 horsepower. It’s matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and Audi’s trusted Quattro all-wheel drive. So, you enjoy smooth but powerful performance in every drive.

But the upgrades don’t stop under the hood. Audi has borrowed some features usually kept for the sportier S6 and brought them into the new A6. That means sharper handling, adaptive dampers, and even rear-wheel steering for a more agile feel.

If you really want to step things up, the Prestige trim offers a Sport Plus package. For $5,850, it lowers the car by almost an inch, adds a sport rear differential, and gives the car 21-inch wheels with summer tires and a more aggressive look inside and out.

As for trims, the lineup starts with the Premium at $65,395, then the Premium Plus at $68,795, and finally the Prestige at $72,695. Buyers can also add extras like a Bang & Olufsen sound system, Matrix LED headlights, a head-up display, and even a passenger-side dashboard screen for some extra tech flair.

Audi says the 2026 A6 will land in U.S. dealerships later this year. With its stronger engine, smarter chassis, and luxury add-ons, it’s definitely shaping up to be one of the most exciting updates we’ve seen in this sedan.
