Audi has stepped up its game to maintain the interest of their luxury car buyers. After experiencing slower sales and criticism over its naming convention, Audi is now introducing a perk that BMW and other rivals already offer: free scheduled maintenance.

Starting with the 2026 models, every new Audi will include three free service visits under a new program known as Audi Signature Care.

So, what’s included in the Audi Signature Care program? Owners (and even people who lease) will now get annual multipoint inspections and oil changes, as well as one brake fluid replacement. The services are set up once a year or every 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. That means Audi 2016 buyers will have less stress about regular upkeep, particularly in the first few years of ownership.

With this move, Audi is following BMW, which has long included complimentary maintenance on new cars. Currently, BMW offers 3 years or 36,000 miles of free scheduled service. Similarly, Genesis and Volvo also offer similar benefits. Infiniti matches the new three-year/30,000-mile plan of Audi.

On the other hand, Porsche and Lexus only cover the first service visit, and Mercedes-Benz still charges customers for routine maintenance.

For Audi, this is more than just a small perk. It will boost buyers’ confidence in the brand. By minimizing ownership costs and offering buyers free maintenance, Audi aims to strengthen its position against its German and global competitors.

Luxury car buyers are becoming more conscious of long-term costs, so complimentary maintenance service could make the difference when deciding between brands.
