Easily Named and Easily Styled Electric Car Range

As the electric car craze takes shape, Volvo is line up its capabilities with a set of cars that will place it competitively at the right edge of the market. Its Polestar subsidiary has so far given us the Polestar 1 and 2 as well as lining up a few more for the near future.

The Polestar 3 is slated to come in 2021 and going by the previous presentations, this one too is very promising. Although there isn’t much that has been released on specifications, Polestar Chief Operating Officer Jonathan Goodman said that unlike the Polestar 1 which uses a hybrid powertrain, the Polestar 3 will be an all-electric car.

Asked about the naming, Polestar said the brand is keeping all things simple and sifting unnecessary complexities. Polestar said, “It’s a case of ‘let’s try to strip out some of the complexity.’ It’s quite simple for someone to understand. They don’t have to worry about whether it’s an M this or a B that. It’s gloriously simple. It’s a good fit with the brand. We’re trying to strip out the unnecessary.”

We’ve seen a lot of experiments being done since the electrification of vehicles became a close reality. Going by the standards that have been set, every manufacturer will need to accurately balance the arithmetic with family-oriented SUVs, sports cars, hypercars and everything in between.
