Infiniti Teases New QX80 SUV Variants at The Quail

Luxury SUV showcases sporty and off-road concepts at Monterey Car Week
A flagship SUV of Infiniti, the QX80, has recently gotten a full redesign for the 2025 model year. Infiniti’s SUV has now strongly prioritized luxury and comfort. Now, the automaker is showing just how versatile the QX80 can be by introducing two exciting concept versions at The Quail during Monterey Car Week: the Track Spec and Terrain Spec.
The Track Spec is an unexpected twist for an SUV of this size. The QX80 is best known for its plush ride and spacious interior. However, the latest concept brings a sporty edge. It features a rear diffuser, quad exhaust tips, and also massive and highest-quality 24-inch wheels.
Infiniti has upgraded the performance with a twin-turbo V-6 engine. It has the capability to push it over 650 horsepower and 750+ pound-feet of torque. In order to handle all that power, the Track Spec features big Brembo brakes at the front.
On the other side of the spectrum, the Terrain Spec is specifically built for adventure. This concept has been designed in a way that it raises the suspension and adds rugged wheels fitted with all-terrain tires. It also has fender flares, a side-exit exhaust, and a roof-mounted light bar.
These additions give it a bold, off-road-ready look. Incorporating a rooftop tent makes it clear that this QX80 is all-inclusively ready for serious overlanding adventures.
Right now, it’s not confirmed whether these concepts will enter the production. However, Nissan has recently introduced the performance-focused Armada NISMO. Following that, the idea of a sportier or more adventurous QX80 isn’t far-fetched.
