My honest take after a week behind the wheel

When I first got the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had heard a lot about the off-road upgrades of this vehicle, but I wanted to see if it could balance adventure and daily comfort. The moment I saw it parked in my driveway, its rugged look caught my attention. The raised suspension, all-terrain tires, and copper accents gave a feeling that it was ready to explore any trail.

Inside, the cabin felt practical and modern. It has StarTex water-resistant seats, and these seats are great for anyone who loves the outdoors or has kids and pets. The dashboard is simple, and the 11.6-inch touchscreen is responsive and easy to use. It comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which made my drives smoother.

I also noticed how well Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist system worked. The adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping features gave me extra confidence on busy roads.

The driving experience was actually better than I expected. The 2.5-liter engine produces 182 horsepower. It was strong enough for quick acceleration and hilly drives. I took it through muddy trails and highways, and trust me, it performed amazingly everywhere. The ride was comfortable, and the handling was solid. I averaged about 27 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg in the city. You know that it is impressive for an all-wheel-drive SUV.

If there’s one drawback, it’s the space. The rear seats are a bit tight for taller passengers. Moreover, the trunk, though 20 cubic feet, has a narrow opening that limits large items.

After a week of driving, I can say with confidence that the 2025 Crosstrek Wilderness is for people who love adventure but still need a practical daily ride. It’s capable, comfortable, and stylish, and yes, it’s absolutely worth it.
