GM Removes Corvette No-Flip Rules for Most Models

GM has made a big and much-needed change for Corvette buyers. The automaker has removed the no-flip rules for most Corvette models, giving many buyers the freedom to sell their cars without waiting. This update shows that the market has finally calmed down and that the demand for many Corvette versions is no longer out of control.
These no-flip rules started back in 2023 when the Corvette Z06 was launched. At that time, the car was so popular that many buyers were flipping it for huge profits. Some models were being resold for fifty to a hundred thousand dollars more than their original price. This frustrated real fans who wanted the car to drive, not to sell for profit. To fix this problem, GM asked buyers to keep their cars for a certain period. If they sold early, they could lose their warranty and even lose their chance to buy future special models.

Now things are different. GM has officially removed the six-month hold for the 2025 and 2026 E-Ray and Z06 models. This change applies to most cars, except the ones delivered before November 5, 2026. Those specific cars will still follow the old rule.
Not every model gets this freedom. The 2025 and 2026 ZR1 and the 2026 ZR1X will still have a one-year hold. These cars are extremely powerful and still in very high demand. GM wants to make sure the ZR1 models end up with people who actually want to enjoy the car, not with people planning to flip it for a quick profit.

GM has also added a simple step. Buyers now have to sign a form to confirm that they understand the rules. This avoids confusion because some buyers in the past said they never saw the original paperwork.
This update is good news for most Corvette buyers. Production is better, cars are easier to find, and flipping has slowed down. With these new rules, owners get more freedom without hurting the market.
