Loyal to the NSX? Then you’ll be happy to hear this.

  • Honda has planned to launch a new program to supply parts for its heritage sports models.
  • The program will begin with the first-generation NSX, and it is going to launch in spring 2026.
  • Honda will also offer an option of an in-house restoration, but this will be only in Japan.
  • Ongoing NSX Refresh Plan of Honda will end this summer, which will pave the way for the latest global parts as well as restoration services.

Japanese carmaker Honda aims to help its customers keep their old NSX model on the road. The automobile company is set to embark on a new parts program in order to supply parts for its heritage sports models. Launching in spring 2026, the automaker’s new program will provide parts for some models that are no longer being produced. Not only will the company provide parts, but it will also offer a restoration service. The first model that will get support through this new model will be the first-generation NSX.

Currently, it isn’t disclosed which parts Honda has planned to supply, but it seems like they all won’t be genuine OEM. Honda stated that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to provide their customers with all genuine parts for the heritage models. Therefore, the company will be supplying what it calls “genuine compatible parts”. These parts won’t be exact genuine parts, but they will be highly compatible with the vehicle.

Honda stated (translated announcement), “With the cooperation of various business partners, we have been considering the production of alternative parts for parts that can no longer be produced and supplied.” It seems to be like they are planning to use things like 3D printing and remanufacturing parts to ensure the hard-to-find parts are still available.

The company has been running the “NSX Refresh Plan” since 1993, but now it has decided to discontinue that program this summer.
