Latest Lucid Gravity Update Brings Easier Towing and Built-In Dash Cam

Lucid’s newest SUV gets smarter with towing upgrades, a built-in dash cam, and better in-car features.
Lucid Motors, the California-based EV maker known for its luxury Air sedan, is expanding its lineup with the new Gravity SUV. After a few months of customer deliveries, the automaker has started pushing fresh upgrades. The latest software update, UX 3.3, brings convenience, safety, and smart features to the three-row electric SUV.
One of the biggest highlights is towing. The Gravity can already tow up to 6,000 pounds when equipped with the tow package. It includes trailer brake control and a hitch camera view. Now, Lucid has made things even easier with a new trailer light check feature. This lets the lights of the trailer flash in sequence, so drivers can quickly confirm that everything is working. It can also be activated right from the Lucid mobile app.
The update also brings a built-in dash cam function through the Drive Recorder. By plugging in a USB storage device, drivers can automatically save video clips of key events, including crashes. On top of that, Lucid is testing Live View. It allows owners to stream real-time footage from the SUV’s external cameras directly to their phone app.
Both features are currently in beta, with Live View expected to move to a subscription model later on.
In addition to these, the interface of Gravity is now more user-friendly. Drivers can now save their favorite destinations on the home screen for one-tap access. They can check out new views in the energy use graph and see a clearer range map. Also, the audio system has been improved to minimize background noise during phone calls.
With these top-notch updates, Lucid shows it’s serious about keeping the Gravity ahead in the luxury EV market.
