The luxury automaker brings its biggest-ever screen to the upcoming electric GLC, setting a new standard for in-car tech.

Electric cars are no longer just about speed and range. They are also about technology, and Mercedes-Benz is leaving no stone unturned to stay ahead in the game. The company has revealed the interior of the upcoming 2027 GLC EV, and the highlight is a massive 39.1-inch display that stretches almost the entire width of the cabin.

This screen is an upgraded version of the brand’s well-known Hyperscreen. It runs from pillar to pillar across the dashboard. It’s officially the largest display Mercedes has ever installed in a production vehicle.

The screen isn’t just merely about the 39.1-inch display size. Mercedes claims that the installed display has been made with advanced technology, backed by 1,000+ individual LEDs. These can be dimmed in sections. This will enable different screen areas to show separate functions with crystal clarity.

The rest of the cabin also shows a fresh design direction. Unlike the gasoline-powered GLC, the 2027 GLC EV has a more futuristic vibe. The dashboard is merged with the center console, and sleek new switches for seat adjustment are now in the doors.

Circular side vents and rectangular central vents frame the interior. While the center console now features two wireless phone chargers, cupholders, a volume control wheel, and a set of quick-access buttons.

Just like in the EQS sedan, this Hyperscreen setup will come as an option. However, Mercedes hasn’t disclosed what the regular version with a smaller display will look like yet. The GLC EV will be fully revealed on September 7 at the IAA Munich Auto Show, where we’ll get exact details on its features, trims, and price.
