Binge-Worthy British Reality Shows

The US may have some crazy, larger-than-life reality shows, but the UK might have them beat. Here are some of the binge-worthy British reality shows that will have you pure buzzing.

Geordie Shore

Meet the British counterpart of the hit MTV reality show “Jersey Shore” that follows around a couple of crazy characters from Newcastle. The show is much like “Jersey Shore” where the cast gets together for a wild summer, but have to work a day job together to be apart of the Geordie house.

The cast of “Jersey Shore” worked in a t-shirt shop, but on “Geordie Shore” they actually party for their job hosting a variety of events under Geordie Tours where singles can meet and party the night on.

Another thing they have in common with “Jersey Shore” is their choice of what I refer to as slanguage, here’s a brief lesson in “Geordie Shore” terminology:

  • “Tash On” or “Necking On”- making out or kissing someone
  • “Going Out On The Pull” – meeting new people in hopes of a hookup
  • “Buzzing” – just generally excited
  • “Radgie” – acting violent or aggressive
  • “Divvy” – another word for dummy
