First Real Look at the High-Powered Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Sedan

- The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is almost here, as the automobile company today released multiple teaser photos.
- The released images show the state-of-the-art side profile of the electric sedan, as well as the taillight design, unique aero wing, and more.
- As Hyundai hasn’t shared powertrain specs, the Ioniq 6 N is anticipated to feature the same 641-hp all-wheel-drive setup available in the Ioniq 5 N.
Hyundai’s award-winning Ioniq 5 N currently holds the title of EV of the Year. It is about to get a high-performing baby sister. The company has just released multiple new teaser images that offer us the best look yet of the upcoming Ioniq 6 N. This look was first teased at the start of the year when the Korean automobile manufacturer disclosed updates about the updated 2026 Ioniq 6.
Although the disclosed teaser images mostly exhibit the shadowy features of the high-performance sedan, there is one important close-up look: a bold rear wing with a sculpted ducktail spoiler. Hyundai has confirmed that the Ioniq 6 N will sport flared fenders that will contribute to a wider stance.
There will be lightweight alloy wheels beneath those wheel arches. It clearly shows in the teaser photos that this setup will do smoky burnouts easily. Just like the Ioniq 5 N, the Ioniq 6 N is expected to have bigger brakes and high-grip tires.
The upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is set to feature distinctive pixel-like lighting in its tail lights. This shows the continuity of Hyundai’s top-notch design language. It is interesting that similar individual pixels integrate into the trunk lid. It is similar to the reverse version of the clearance lights in the front grille of the Ford Raptor.
Hyundai also outlines that the I6N will have a trio of performance pillars; among them, our favorite is Corner Rascal. Hyundai calls it a “Corner Rascal” because this EV is tuned to hug corners tightly with sharp steering and smart power control. On the other hand, “Racetrack Capability” and “Everyday Sports Car” have a boring comparison (yawn). Still, nothing is boring in this electric sedan, as it is expected to have more horsepower than a V8 Mustang.
Hyundai has yet to disclose the Ioniq 6 N’s official specifications. However, earlier this year, the company confirmed that the high-power EV sedan will be made public in July 2025. When the wraps come off, we expect that electric sedan will have the same 641-horsepower, all-wheel-drive powertrain that the Ioniq N5 has.
At the present moment, that particular model starts just north of $67K. This makes it a compelling value in the performance EV segment. And for the Ioniq 6N, early expectations suggest that its price will be under the $70K threshold, but the official price is still under wraps.
