Great Engineering: The Lamborghini Gallardo Sypder
Great engineering packed in an awesome car
The Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder was applauded by many observers, enthusiasts, and experts as a well-aligned, capable and sharply developed vehicle. The scissor doors, curvy, low-seating body design, and powerful engine are some of this Lambo’s strong points.
It carries a V10 power plant also found in the Audi R8 (which is yet another bewildering and respectable machine in its own right). Besides the hefty engine power, this Lambo is an immensely well-crafted car that decided to come without a roof.
To compensate for what it might lose by being a convertible, the car put in a little more weight in comparison to the coupe. It weighs 140 kg heavier resulting in reduced power to weight ratio. It generates 361 bhp while the coupe version does 397 bhp.
The Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder convertible will go 62 mph in 4.0 seconds. The hood will drop at the touch of a button in only 20 seconds.
The top can be had in either black, blue, grey or beige. Even when the hood is pulled down, the rear screen remains attached in place playing the role of a wind deflector. You can actually get the rear screen down while the hood is up, just for some added swagger.
The Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder LP560-4 is an exceptional machine in handling, further underlining the fact that Lamborghini still adores great engineering. It touches the ground with an intimate response.
It is easy to break and bring to a halt. Whatever the noises this Lambo makes, there is a hypnotic feel that you cannot just fail to notice.
