Travelling is being revolutionized in ways we’ve not seen before. If you still don’t get it, think of the PodRide, a bike and car all packed in one skin.

Mikael Kjellman from Sweden brought about the PodRide, a bike that has a cover that protects the cyclist/drive from weather conditions. He wanted to be able to cycle to work in the winter.

It instantly went viral and Mikeal was overwhelmed with requests from people who wanted to buy one of their own. He had to go back to the drawing board to redesigned the bike to be more efficient for mass production.

Whereas the automotive industry is looking up to electrical cars to address environmental challenges, the PodRide seems to be a good answer for cyclists. Bicycle-cars are quite practical, good for your health, cheap to run, good for the environment and fun to drive. You aren’t likely to miss a fan looking to take a selfie with you any time anywhere.

Mikael’s is not an entirely new idea as bicycle cars have been around for some time. However,in the modern world,they require new and advanced technology to work and they would not cost much if they were mass-produced.

Many other bicycle-cars have been available on the market for many years but they are still for some reason they have remained in the oblivion. Could this be the beginning of a revolutionary, cheaper way to for shorter distances? Only time will tell.
