The Most Expensive McLaren Fetched $19.8 Million At Monterey Car Week Auction
Deep Pocket Individuals Can Drive This Amazing Car
Only two examples of the spectacular F1 LM-Spec supercar will roam the surface of the earth, and one of them just sold for an unbelievable $19.8 million. That alone tells you that its a car not meant for all and sundry. It requires much more from the owner than just a fat check.
When the owner sent back this car to McLaren for enhancement, the McLaren’s Special Operations division seemed eager to work on it. Not only did it give the car a new engine but also added a rear wing and installed a brand new radio. The headlights, as well as the suspension, were changed, making the suspension adjustable.
These enhancements made this car overwhelmingly outstanding and perhaps good enough to fetch just as much money as it finally did. You need not be reminded as much that McLaren gets really excited about reworking on their cars and giving their owners a taste of the best engineering in a special package.
We surely might not know who owns this special McLaren but they did make a good investment on it. It can only get merrier in the future and the owner will call the shots when budding buyers come calling.
In 2015, auction house RM Sotheby’s sold a similar car at the Monterey Car Week for a memorable $13.75 million.
