When You Driver A Unique Car

This car takes us back to 2003 and the location is the Race Resort Ascari down in Southern Spain. In the month of September, a small selection of guests that had come in the exclusive invitation was treated to one of the amazing car creations of the season. It was named the Ascari KZ1.

Not only did it carry an elegant look but also proved to be outstandingly powerful. It has all the characteristics of a supercar and aimed to perform with similar enthusiasm. It brought with it a carbon fiber chassis and still in those early days introduced technology found on many cars today.

The KZ1 was gifted a 6-speed manual transmission and central carbon fiber honeycomb monocoque structure. It could do four seconds from zero to 60mph. Its top speed rose all the way to 200 mph, with the assistance of the powerful 4941cc engine.

The makers of this car made two versions of it: one was the luxury sports coupe and the track-focused Ascari KZ1-R. The KZ1 rides on a V8 engine plucked from a BMW M5 and carrying 5-0 liters.

As expected, only a few examples of this highly tuned car were made. It went as far as making history at the British auto show Top Gear by becoming the 5th fastest in November 2005 setting a time of 1 minute 20.7 seconds.
