With an array of 7,200 solar cells, this marvel of science was made to cruise across the Australian outback at 60 MPH powered by nothing but the good ol’ sun.
It actually won a 1,950-mile race in the outback with two days to spare. You can find it on display at the Smithsonian.

Looks like your car got hungry and tried to eat another car. This muffin-topped mystery was actually a pretty sturdy ride.
