Boy, if ever there was a car that was pummeled with an ugly stick, it’d be this poor thing. The Yugo was an experiment in designing a new class of cheap consumer car, and “cheap” was the word of the day.
Cheap design and cheap parts, and with cheap parts come frequent failures, which meant frequent crashes.
