Here Is The Spacious, Tech-Laden Mercedes-Benz B Class 2019
Reviewing The Mercedes-Benz B Class
Because 1.5 million of these amazing cars have been sold since 2005, it was paramount that Mercedes rethinks this model of cars. For 2019, there is something new in the offing.
There are several things you can say about the Mercedes B class, including the fact that it is a car that defies classification. Why do we say so? This car is ultimately not a people mover, although its boxy and tall thus poising very easily as one.
It’s not a hatchback either or to put it in another way, it doesn’t pass as a hatchback in the traditional sense. Yet it still isn’t a station wagon, even if its side profile hints at a wagon-esque form. More unsurprisingly it can’t be categorized as an SUV.
For 2019, some of these dimensions have as well been revised. The new B-Class is longer and wider than before, which creates a cabin large enough to seat five adults in comfort.
The cargo cabin is roughly the same size as before, but versatility will be improved when the option of a sliding rear seat is added later in the year. In addition, a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines are offered, all fitted with automatic transmissions – a manual gearbox will be added to the range somewhere down the year as well.
An up class option is the Energizing seat kinetics system, which makes minute changes to your seating position over long journeys to reduce fatigue and enhance comfort. The new B-Class is also available with technology and driver assistance systems.
The suite of active safety systems has elements such as brake assist, emergency stop assist and lane change assist, among others. A great improvement is evident in this car even as it denies us an opportunity to firmly classify it.
In fact, its ability to cut across several classes is likely to turn out to be an overall advantage.
