Fiat 120th Anniversary With Awesome SUV Tech-Full Cars

Italian Fiat Celebrates Over 100 Year Legacy

When the Geneva International Motor Show takes place later in March 2019, a unique kind of celebration will be taking place at the background of the one of the world’s oldest automaker, Fiat. Ultimately, a lot has changed since July 11, 1899, when the “Società Anonima Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili – Torino” was established.

However, a few things including its perception of the car and the way in which it is experienced has remained unchanged. In rewriting this history, Fiat choose the 500 series and tuned it to an outstanding machine for the future.

They include the Fiat 500 hatchback, the 500X SUV and the 500L compact van. All three will debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

While all have several common underlying characteristics, they are equally uniquely gifted. Perhaps the 500X 120th SUV is the most outstanding among them.

It will ship with a choice between a 1.0-liter turbo engine rated at 120 hp (90 kW) and a more affordable 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated engine producing 110 hp (82 kW). Further options include a 1.3-liter unit with 95 hp (71 kW) and a 1.6-liter MultiJet engine with 120 hp (90 kW). All four come linked to a manual transmission.

That is not all there is for Fiat’s celebration, as Panda plans to come around with a special edition of its Panda city car, called Connected by Wind. The vehicle will feature broadband Internet connection, SIM card support, and a full-fledged Wi-Fi router on board that will support up to 15 simultaneous connections.

It will also take advantage of a custom exterior and cabin. Such is the greatness of the future of mobility and we are excitedly waiting to see how things turn out.
