The new Aston Martin DBX GT puts comfort and refinement first while keeping super-SUV performance.

Aston Martin has revealed the new DBX GT, a more luxurious version of its high-performance SUV. Introduced on October 1, 2026, the new model appeals to buyers who want greater comfort, quieter rides, and a more professional appearance without sacrificing power.

The DBX GT joins the performance-focused DBX S in Aston Martin’s SUV lineup. While the DBX S looks sportier, the GT looks more sophisticated, with changes to the exterior, interior, suspension, powertrain calibration, and cabin noise insulation.

Under the hood is the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 introduced in the DBX S. It produces 727 PS (717 bhp) and 900 Nm of torque. Aston Martin says the engine uses turbocharger technology shared with the Valhalla supercar.

Despite its focus on comfort, the DBX GT is extremely quick. Its key performance figures are:

  • 0-60 mph: 3.1 seconds
  • 0-100 km/h: 3.3 seconds
  • Top speed: 193 mph / 310 km/h
  • Transmission: 9-speed wet-clutch automatic
  • Drive: Active all-wheel drive

These numbers put the DBX GT at the same performance level as the DBX S, even though its chassis and suspension are tuned for a smoother, more relaxed driving experience.

A More Modest Exterior

Aston Martin has also changed the exterior to give the GT its own identity.

At the front is a new double-vaned grille available in chrome or matte finishes, and it now extends toward the outer air intakes, making the SUV’s front appear wider.

The lower front bumper, side sills and rear diffuser are painted in the body color as standard, giving the GT a subtle appearance.

It also comes with new 22-inch forged wheels with a Satin Titanium finish. Aston Martin pairs them with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All-Season tires, partly to improve ride comfort and reduce road noise. Buyers can choose optional 23-inch wheels with summer or all-season tires.

At the rear, the DBX GT features four exhaust outlets arranged horizontally in two pairs. Aston Martin has also calibrated the exhaust system to reduce harsh, loud sound and produce a calmer tone. GT mode keeps the sound more restrained, while Sport and Sport+ modes allow a more prominent exhaust note.

More Comfort Inside

Some of the biggest changes are inside the cabin.

Aston Martin has redesigned both the front and rear seats by adding a 10 mm layer of memory foam to the seat cushion structure, while changes to the bolsters improve both comfort and lateral support.

The rear seats also feature individually sculpted seating positions, larger headrests, and additional bolstering, while retaining five-seat capacity.

The cabin comes with semi-aniline leather, deep-pile floor mats, anodized metal controls, and GT-specific upholstery combinations. Aston Martin has also created unique quilting, perforation, and embroidery patterns for this model. According to the company, each front seat uses 691 meters of thread and 3,297 perforation holes and requires more than four and a half hours of craftsmanship.

Cabin noise reduction has received particular attention. Aston Martin has added sound-deadening material around the doors and wheel arches, along with acoustic laminated rear side glass. The company says these changes improve its measured Articulation Index by 13%, a measure of how easily occupants can hold a conversation while the vehicle is moving.

Softer Ride, Same Performance Hardware

The DBX GT also gets its own suspension calibration.

Revised damper settings and a new internal damper valve system now better absorb small road imperfections while maintaining body control on cornering. The spring response also changes by drive mode to balance ride comfort, grip, and steering response.

Aston Martin has also refined the throttle response and shift calibration of the nine-speed automatic transmission to make acceleration and gear changes smoother during everyday driving.

Lessons from the Valhalla development program have led to a new transmission mount bush. At the same time, two additional longitudinal dampers connect the body and rear subframe to improve the vehicle’s response over larger bumps and compressions.

The DBX GT still uses carbon-ceramic brakes. It also shares the DBX S’s quicker steering ratio, so Aston Martin has not removed the hardware needed for more demanding driving.

Final Thoughts

The DBX GT is a new super SUV that doesn’t compromise the performance expected from Aston Martin’s SUV. It produces 717 bhp and a top speed of 193 mph, while looking more refined on the outside, with a quieter cabin and a smoother driving experience.

Aston Martin says customer deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. Official pricing has not yet been announced.
