Aston Martin Is Bringing Its Most Powerful Road Cars Ever to Goodwood 2026
Aston Martin unveils a stunning range of new ‘S’ models at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The British automaker confirmed on June 29, 2026, that its new DB12 S, Vantage S and DBX S will lead its display at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The event will take place from July 9 to July 12 in Sussex, England, and will mark the festival’s 34th year.

Aston Martin describes this trio as the most powerful and performance-focused group of series production models it has ever built. All three cars carry the “S” badge, which the brand uses for its sharper, more track-oriented versions of its regular models.
DB12 S: The New Flagship Super Tourer

The DB12 S leads the lineup. It uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, and Aston Martin says it is the most powerful front-engine, non-hybrid V8 model in its class. You will also get a recalibrated 8-speed automatic transmission offering gearshifts in 120 milliseconds.
Key figures for the Aston Martin DB12 S are as follows:
- Power: 700PS, or about 690 horsepower
- Torque: 800Nm, or about 590 lb-ft
- 0-60 mph: 3.4 seconds
Aston Martin also updated the suspension, with new damper software, a retuned electronic differential and a thicker anti-roll bar for sharper handling. Carbon-ceramic brakes are now standard, which helps reduce unsprung weight. The car also gets a new, louder exhaust note.
Vantage S: The Sharpest Sports Car in the Range

The Vantage S is Aston Martin’s most track-focused sports car. It comes with the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the DB12 S, tuned to a slightly different output. It sprints to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, making it slightly quicker off the line than the larger DB12 S.

- Power: 680PS, or about 670 horsepower
- Torque: 800Nm, or about 590 lb-ft
The Vantage S uses a drive-by-wire throttle map built specifically for this model, which Aston Martin says gives the driver a stronger sense of connection with the car. It also gets changes to its suspension hardware and powertrain mounts for better agility.
On the outside, the car gets centrally mounted bonnet blades and a full-width spoiler on the rear decklid.
DBX S: The Fastest Version of Aston Martin’s SUV

The DBX S is the performance version of Aston Martin’s SUV and the most powerful of the three new models. Aston Martin says the DBX S borrows engine technology from its Valhalla supercar. The car is also up to 47 kilograms, or about 104 pounds, lighter than the outgoing DBX707.

- Power: 727PS, or about 717 horsepower
- Torque: 900Nm, or roughly 663 lb-ft
- 0-60 mph: 3.3 seconds
This is not the DBX’s first trip to Goodwood. A DBX also set a hillclimb record at the event last year.
More Than Just the S Models
Aston Martin is not stopping at the three S models. The Valkyrie hypercar, the Valhalla plug-in hybrid supercar, which makes 1,069 horsepower, and the newest generation of the Vanquish will all appear at the event too. The Vanquish is marking 25 years as Aston Martin’s flagship front-engined sports car.
The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team will also take part. The team’s AMR25 F1 car will run the Goodwood hillclimb, with drivers Jak Crawford and Jessica Hawkins each making their first appearance at the festival behind the wheel of a Formula One car.
Aston Martin’s newly appointed Chief Commercial Officer, Andrea Baldi, said the Festival of Speed is always an important event for the brand and that this year’s display reflects the company’s focus on engineering and driving excitement.
What This Means For Buyers
Aston Martin has not released pricing, launch timing, or allocation details for these three cars as part of the Goodwood announcement. The event itself functions as a showcase rather than a full product launch.
Still, this will give the public its first in-person look at all three S models together.
The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed opens to the public on Thursday, July 9, and concludes on Sunday, July 12.
