Ford Mustang Gets More Affordable in the US With September Deals

Ford is offering some of its strongest Mustang deals of the year right now, and only a few weeks remain to cash them in.
The 2026 Ford Mustang EcoBoost is available with $2,500 cash back or a $399-a-month lease this September. Both offers will end on September 30, 2026. The GT and Dark Horse trims are not part of these two headline offers, though they do qualify for a smaller cash rebate of their own.
The Lease Offer
The featured lease offer applies to the 2026 Mustang Coupe EcoBoost 100A. It processes through Ford Credit’s Red Carpet Lease program for 36 months at $399 a month, with $1,398 due at signing and no security deposit required.
Taxes, title, and license fees aren’t included in that payment, so the on-the-road cost will be higher. Buyers should also ask how many miles they can drive under the lease and how much they will pay if they go over that limit, since neither is part of the advertised monthly rate.
The Cash Back Offer
Buyers who want to own the car outright can take $2,500 in Ford Retail Customer Cash off the EcoBoost Fastback and EcoBoost Premium trims. The GT and Dark Horse trims are eligible for a smaller rebate, up to $1,000. This cash reduces the price whether the buyer pays in full or finances.
For example, Paris Ford in Paris, Texas, currently lists a 2026 Mustang EcoBoost Fastback for $28,960 against an advertised MSRP of $35,700. The $6,740 difference comes from a $4,240 dealer discount combined with the $2,500 Ford Retail Customer Cash.
The advertised price excludes tax, title, registration, and a $225 documentation fee, and it applies to one specific vehicle in stock rather than every EcoBoost nationwide. It is still a useful example of how the manufacturer rebate can stack with a dealer’s own discount, and like the other offers here, it expires September 30.
Financing: 3.9% APR on the Dark Horse
Ford is also offering 3.9% APR for 36 months on the Dark Horse and a couple of other trims, paired with up to $1,000 in bonus cash, through September 30.
A separate 3.9% APR offer for 60 months with $2,000 in bonus cash is running this month as well, but that one applies to the Mustang Mach-E, Ford’s electric crossover. It shares the Mustang name but not the two-door coupe body or the gas engine, so don’t confuse it with the EcoBoost, GT, or Dark Horse offers above.
Other Ways to Save
Ford also offers ongoing Recognition Programs that can add extra savings for qualifying buyers, including discounts for military members, first responders, and college students, along with up to $1,000 in reimbursement through Ford Mobility Motoring for adaptive equipment. These do not always stack with every offer above, so it is worth asking a dealer which programs can be combined.
The Bottom Line
All the offers above are valid till September 30, 2026. Exact pricing, payments, and eligibility vary by region, dealer inventory, and credit approval, so buyers should confirm the specific terms for their trim with a local dealer and ask whether the cash rebate can be combined with any financing or lease deal before signing.
