Isn’t The $5 Million Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio Too Expensive?

Isn’t This Pearl Too Expensive?

There is an interesting story behind the birth, growth, and development of the Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio. It is a story of lives lived with the commitment that bears the kind of tasty fruits seen in this car.

The Pininfarina Sergio js named after Sergio Pininfarina, son of founder Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina who was the company’s chairman for a plausible 40 years. He spent 55 inspiring years at the company, a period within which he built some of the most outstanding pieces of automobiles cruising the planet earth to this day.

The current Chairman and son to the departed man had this to say about him, “How Pininfarina is today, we owe this to my father who built this company and insisted on the research, on the innovation, aerodynamics, safety and so on.” It was, therefore, befitting that when Sergio passed on in 2012, he had to be honored in just the best way his memories could be preserved.

A limited-edition car carrying his name wasn’t a bad idea at all. It was named the Ferrari Sergio and the concept came out in March 2013 and was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

Customers would wait for two short years for the production version to come. When it did, only six cars popped out selling at about $3 million. If the current $5 million asking price is still within your reach, then you the Sergio is within reach.
