Lexus Small Hatchback All-Electric Car Coming In October 2019
Lexus Is Determined To Bring This Hatchback Soon
The craze about EVs is only beginning to heat up even though we’ve seen so much already.
Lexus has now affirmed that it’s bringing about an electric hatchback that is meant for urban cruising. It is expected to be unveiled at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show scheduled for October and is based on a previous Lexus concept from 2015 dubbed the LF-SA.
Head of design at Lexus Koichi Suga described it as a “representation of personality” and “really a necessary part of the brand identity.” A notable and significant element of this Lexus is its next-gen infotainment technology including a pair of screens positioned on either side of the steering wheel.
Lexus is yet to release the technical details, Lexus vice-president Koji Sato had earlier said that four motors were a high possibility. He said: “We expect four wheels operating independently will offer greater agility, stability, and excitement. We will continue to pursue this exciting opportunity.”
One thing we are now certain about is that no auto manufacturer is turning back on their EV path. It is also clear that we are yet to see the best of this revolutionary technology.
Out of the Toyota stable where Lexus lie, the Toyota Prius is considered a leading eco-friendly passenger transport. It will, therefore, be interesting to see how far Lexus goes to distinguish itself with the upcoming hatchback.
