Porsche Taycan EV Comes To Challenge The Status Quo

What Tesla Has Done, Porsche Hopes To Push The Bar

When Porsche creates two-door sports cars, we look at it like its more or less in its league. But the car has gladly expanded its portfolio with three SUVs, a sedan, and even a wagon becoming part of the stable.

On the line, up still is yet another sedan and a wagon to come somewhere down 2019. The Porsche Tycan EV has, however, generated lots of interests from various quarters and we must say it is for a good reason. This is an extraordinary EV in several ways.

The Tycan will be offered in two battery options: 80Kw and 95kw. It is fitted with a special cooling system to maintain the batteries operating optimally.

With 25o miles of range and only 15 minutes of charging, it stands as one of the best offers the market have so far. It is so simplified that just like the Teslas it aims to dislodge, it can be plugged in at home.

The Tycan comes with three variants differentiated by horsepower abilities. There are a 402hp, 536hp and 670 hp that is said to hit 60mph in just 6.5 seconds.

This is not Porsche’s first EV as the Panamera has occupied this space well in advance. However, we are seeing continued improvement and readiness to challenge the status quo.

With its spectacular interior and exterior designs as demonstrated in the Tycan, Porsche is creating a different conversation in regards to creative EV architecture.
