The Good Old Ford Ranch Wagon

It was a master of wagons with design

The 1950s became the closing years of wood-bodied Ford station wagons. They had, however, done their part and left quite a mark on planet earth. This made them impossible to just fade off without recognition of their outstanding design and performance.

Notable takeaways include the round taillights that was more of the design of the day and were sported in several vehicles. Then there was the healthy generous chrome and the protruding fins that gave this car some kind of wings.

The windshield curved and wrapped as if to give the driver a warm open hug. It was also a very practical car with a massively enormous trunk for huge cargo haulage.

The cabin is equally friendly and spacious and some of this kind would even come with an Artdeco speedometer was the in-thing back then. Some vehicles of the days gone by gave us so much that we love so much that we will hold them close and dear for a very long time to come.

The Ford Ranch Wagon won a place in our hearts and will remain there for quite some time. We especially love the curvy exterior that must have taken the imagination of the best body designers of its time. Then again, it was a practical car not only for urban cruising but also very useful for the winding roads of the countryside.
