The New Volkswagen T-Roc SUV Is Promising
VW T-Roc SUV Aims For Success
That VW Touareg and Tiguan have been incredibly successful in their first years on the market is not a secret. It is perhaps in this same breath that Volkswagen decided to expand its crossover lineup, adding at least three new models.
One of them is the T-Roc, which is the company’s smallest SUV, for the time being before the T-Cross arrives. VW T-Roc is characteristically unique in a number of ways, particularly with the enhancements of the trademark R design.
This is seen is well pronounced on the flared wheel arches housing 18-inch alloys, a hunkered stance thanks to a 20 mm drop in ride height, plus deep front and rear bumpers for a more aggressive look. Built on the ubiquitous MQB platform, the T-Roc falls in the same category as the Tiguan.
For power, the T-Roc depends on VW’s proven 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo, developing 296 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. This is paired to a seven-speed DSG box and 4MOTION all-wheel drive as standard.
Volkswagen claims a 0-62 mph time of 4.9 seconds, thanks to the addition of launch control, and a top speed limited to 155 mph. Inside the cabin, customers will be greeted by dark grey decorative inserts in the dashboard and door panels and Carbon Flag upholstery.
There is also added black roof lining, front footwell illumination, and front LED reading lights. Extra sportiness comes by means of aluminum pedals and a flat-bottom leather steering wheel.
The T-Roc is launching on a promise to keep that sporty look enhanced by an awesome creative design and we can only hope that it keeps rocking!
