Citroen C3 JCC Comes Around With A More Youthful Look

This Car Sports A Youthful Flair

To be fair enough, the supermini segment is a challenging one to compete in. In this segment lies the likes of the Seat Ibiza which is setting the standard, the Ford Fiesta, which is obviously the clear leader in terms of sales and other safe bets as well as the VW Polo.

Thus, the new Citreon C3 JCC has quite some homework to do.But what exactly does it pride itself in?

There are two engines on offer, a 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder petrol and 1.6 BlueHDi diesel, but both come in different outputs. The PureTech unit comes in 68 hp, 82 hp or 110 hp forms, while the BlueHDi diesel is offered in 75 hp and 100 hp guises.

Going by these modest power outputs you can easily conclude that performance is adequate, but not exemplary. All cars come with either a five or six-speed gearbox, but if you want an auto, you will need to go for either Flair or ELLE spec cars, both of which sit at the higher end of the range.

A 7.0-inch touch screen, runs a variety of functions including air-conditioning. The basic multimedia software is rather good these screen a good size. There’s also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to look after your media and GPS satellite navigation needs.

A built-in dash camera called ‘ConnectedCAM’ that would cost you around $600 is also available. Citroen claims it is a segment-first.

Mounted in front of the rear-view mirrors, it creates its own Wi-Fi network and you can control it with an app on your phone. Quite a cool thing for a vehicle with this kind of youthful look.
