Beyonce Owns A 1959 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II Convertible

Between 1955 and 1966, Rolls-Royce produced one of its most magnificent luxury cars of the time. It was aptly named the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. This car had followed a familiar naming lineage such as the Silver Dawn and would later be replaced by the Silver Shadow.
Regardless, the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II was the epitome of finesse in its season and made so much effort in ensuring that the company retained top spotting on the prestigious luxury front.
Weighing almost two tons, the Silver Cloud carried a well-to-do 155 hp six-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox as its standard. It was quite a lengthy car at 212 in. (5.38 meters) long and about 75 in. (1.90 meters) in width. As such, the Silver Cloud had done good enough homework to cut a niche for itself.
A couple of years down the line, a major revision was done on this fantastic car. It received a 6.23-liter V8 engine. This was a significant move especially when you consider that this engine can be found in many modern Rolls-Royce with several updates.
The vehicle was also renamed Silver Cloud II to signal the new upgrades. The bodywork remained much unchanged though but this car was unprecedentedly successful. It is the car that gave the company the timeless slogan from David Ogilvy’s advertising firm: “At 60 mph the loudest noise in this new Rolls-Royce comes from the electric clock.”
For her 25th birthday, Beyonce received a $1 million Silver Cloud from Jay Z. It was several years ago and you can bet it has skyrocketed in price by now. That is ultimately a timeless gift to hold dear for a lifetime.
