Icona Vulcano Titanium Car From Italy

Back in 2013, Italian design house icon based in Shanghai decided to do a one-off iconic super car that would cost a whooping $9.75 million. It took quite a number of processes and changes.

Finally, it came out as a 6.2 liter ZR-1 unit delivering 1,000 horses. It is rear wheel and goes from 0 to 60 miles an hour in 2.8 seconds and it has a top speed of 354 kilometers per hour.

The body is made of titanium and carbon fiber, hence the name. It weighs 1,590 kilo, coming very close to the LaFerrai’s 1,585 kilo model.

And now there is this story we must tell you because it is interesting. The Icona was meant to feature at the seventh season of Fast & Furious.

However, this never happened, with the producers of the show explaining that the person responsible lost the business card of the representative of the auto firm. Like seriously? Let’s just conclude that they had other reasons for no matter how long it takes we won’t buy that story!

Anyway, the Icona doesn’t need to appear in anyone’s show to become famous. It has won a place in vehicle history, whichever way you look at it.

The 2-seater uses Pirelli PZERO 285/30 ZR 20 tires on the front axle and 355/25 ZR 21 rubbers on the rear axle. Stopping power is provided by Brembo, with 6 piston calipers for the front wheels and and 4 piston calipers for the rear wheels, with carbon-ceramic discs.

But here is the thing, if you know who bought this one-off masterpiece, please drop us a message.
