He Is A Master Mechanic by All Standard And For His Efforts He Is Winning Awards

There is a man in New Zealand who is doing what he loves and knows best. For his efforts, he has won wide acclaim an acknowledgment as well as accolades. His name David Jeffery, of Rolleston.

David has been a mechanic most of his adult life but set to building rat rods over the last seven years. He is doing a superb job. His first outfit, which he named after his daughter Bellarat has won several awards including the 2012 Beach Hop, one of New Zealand’s most popular festival and car shows.

He has been a busy man working full time at his garage. He says that it is one side of life that he enjoys immensely.” Building cars is just fun to create as you go, you don’t know how it’s going to look until you’ve finished and it’s the end product.”Says David.

He currently keeps only tow of these assembles, but the list of his creations is long. Four have been made to order and among them is a super powerful twin-turbo diesel rod rat that carries 5.9litre Cummins engine. A 1930 Rolls Royce under construction will be a completely new being once he is done with it.

combination of old and new parts should be a thrilling affair to any car builder. To David, it changes exponentially when it comes to the creative aspect that allows him to do his thing in his style.

“I don’t like to copy what other people have.”Says the experienced mechanic, ” I like to build cars that are standing out from the others.”

One thing about cars of any kind is that in their own unique ways, they are able to breathe the passion of their builders. When history is written, the input of David Jeffery will be firmly and permanently inscribed on the plaques.
