The Sooner The Better: This One Is Expected To Turn The Tides

Back in 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show, Maserati introduced the stunning Alfieri. It was built upon the GranTurismo MC Stradale, with the wheelbase being significantly shorter.

It was introduced with a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V8 engine that generated 460 horsepower and 383 pound-feet (520 Newton-meters). Fast Forward to early 2019 and the company announced that it would build “a characteristically Maserati sports car.”

This car happens to be the Alfieri. Maserati hinted that the production version of this car will be a plug-in hybrid powertrain and an electrified all-wheel-drive system.

It will also incorporate full active torque vectoring and active aero. In addition, an aluminum spaceframe will is also in the offing.

As a sports car, lightweight specifications are also detailed, with the entire electrified hardware taking only 386 pounds. The Alfieri is poised to hit only two seconds riding from zero to 60mph. It will also get up to 186 mph (300 kph).

Maserati has recently been seemingly on the charm offensive releasing potentially explosive brands from time to time. Among the vehicles lined up and talked about at length include the Quattroporte, the Levante and even a number of SUVs.

Sporty motoring is Maserati’s forte and manages to release vehicles that captivate almost all the time. The Alfieri is just further extension of this great legacy.
