Taking great specs to yet a higher level

All Porsche Macnas have turbo engines, yes, but we are looking at the Macan Turbo, a car meant for epic performance as opposed to little adjustments under the hood. It is a top-of-the-range car that meant for a different class of enthusiasts.

The Turbo is specifically distinguishable from the design elements draped on the front fascia, side skirts, mirrors, and roof spoiler. It also wears the standard Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) that seem to do a lot of good to the 20-inch wheels.

The drivetrain is on a whole different level altogether. It was handed a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 also found in the Cayenne and Panamera. This one pulls out 434 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque.

The Porsche Macan Turbo base price is $84,950. There is no information on how much various options will cost and the packages that will be offered. Porsche is, however, historically generous with a number of options to pick from.

To most people, this car comes out as just another Macan, but this is not until you see the higher level of standard equipment. Turbos are fitted with adaptive LED headlights, Sport Design side skirts, a better throatier sport exhaust. Of course, these elements that go very well with the refreshed Macan’s visual upgrades.

There must have been very good reasoning behind the Turbo, for all Macans are anyway great cars. Looking at what is offered in this car, nonetheless, you get the feeling that it was worth the trouble.
