The eagerly awaited beast is finally ready for the tarmac

The 2020 Lamborghini Sian is a hybrid supercar that is credited as the marque’s most powerful and first car in history. It is also the company’s first hybrid car to be produced for the masses and is limited to only 63 units.

This massively ambitious beast draws power from a V-12 gasoline engine that combines efforts with an electric motor to give the car a thrilling output of 819 horsepower and a top speed of 350 kph.

It is able to sprint from zero to 60 mph in a paltry 2.8 secs. The 48-volt e-motor’s contributes 34 hp to the benefit of the sparkling car.

Such is the ambition that the automaker has for the future, leaving us mouth-watering and guessing at just what and how much more it could be working on. This car’s epic battery sits between the engine and seven-speed automatic transmission, delivering a host of benefits to this automotive.

It improves efficiency, adds a boost when accelerating hard especially at very low speeds such as during parking. The Sian also benefits from an electronically-controlled all-wheel-drive system and a rear mechanical self-locking differential is fitted.

In terms of design, this Lambo is a piece in its own space, taking a cue from the iconic Lamborghini Countach, while the interior heavily borrows from the Aventador. The Sian also employs lots of state-of-the-art technology such as the recuperating system and a supercapacitor instead of a traditional lithium-ion battery.
