Small, Sporty, And Trendy – The i20 Retains Good Ground For Competition
“Follow your brain” is the sale slogan for the Hyundai i20. Well, to some, it is simply just another meaningless, cold a cold, unemotional slogan attach to a car for salesy purposes.
However, this is probably until you fully sample this small furious car. There are several reasons why the i20 is doing reasonably well for the Hyundai.
First, it is sensible, easy-to-use, reliable, strong value and modern in its tech that resonates rather well with a wide range of modern consumers. When you face it from the front, you realize that the the grill, is now bigger and more three-dimensional.
Not much else happens until you get to the rear where there’s a new grey-plastic lower section emphasizing width. The lights are more jeweled too. Standard face lift stuff, but it does manage to make it look classier, trendy and flowing with the times.
To make it even more enticing, the engine is now a three-cylinder petrol turbo, available with a seven-speed DCT, replacing the old torque-converter auto and helps efficiency. Five-speed (100 bhp) and six-speed (120 bhp) manuals continue as the mainstays.
As the small car segment continuously takes a big hit from the growth of humongous machines, the i20 grounds itself as one car that is here for longer. The updates that includes some nice tech will no doubt make things friendlier for this sporty car.
