The EV bandwagon is leaving behind whoever doesn’t heed the signs of time. The developments are overwhelming.

British automaker Vauxhall has announced the electric version of the Corsa even as it plans to bring about more of its conventional models to continue. The Corsa-e model will be an all-electric will be a little more of the supermini but will still don more specs of its own.

The electric motor carried by the Corsa-e will generate 136 bhp and pull 207 lb-ft of torque. The motor sits in front of the passenger cabin borrowing from the brand’s internal combustion. The Corsa carries a 50kWh lithium battery that you can drive for 20 miles.

The Corsa-e also makes a good attempt and actually thrives at redefining the design language. The body is all-new, featuring a sloping roof-line and hatchback design that makes the car sportier and muscular. The grille is observably smaller, clean, and simple.

This also happens to the interior. There is a new 10-inch infotainment display that sits prominently on the dash.

It comes with a digital display for the driver, keeping things down to the bare minimum. It is not an exotic display of affluence here but there is an encouraging simplicity about everything. It makes the Corsa-e an everyday hauler.

This Corsa marks Vauxhall’s debut of the all-new model since the takeover by PSA. It, therefore, borrows significantly from PSA’s own new superminis, as seen in the incoming Peugeot 208. Nonetheless, it is stunning and makes a good effort at curving its own route to the market place.
