With Testing Underway, It’s Just A Matter Of Time Before This Car Is Available

The race to build the most epic next-generation cars is heated. Organizations of all sizes are geared up to bring hi-tech innovations to the scene. Granted, it is a cut-throat competition and this is just the beginning. Chinese startup Byton Technologies has started testing its debut all-electric SUV dubbed the BYTON M-Byte.

By August 2018, ten prototypes had been built and ready for testing, with about a 100 more pre-production units expected before the end of the year. It is an exciting journey and one that has officials in the Chinese-based company rather excited.

According to company CEO Carsten Breitfeld, the future looks bright for as the market portrays optimism.

“The Chinese automobile market offers excellent conditions for our company.” Breitfeld poised. “The infrastructure developments, the market forecasts and the keen interest of the people in our products strengthen us enormously. Of course, our deep understanding of the Chinese market as a basis for our economic success also helps us.”

Coming from BMW’s i-division, Breitfeld brings to the company a wealth of experience which is essential in helping the company to take shape. Among features that the SUV will wear is enhanced driver assistance systems as well as biometric recognition and a large infotainment display. A particularly peculiar input into this tech advancement is the ‘Byton Life’ a cloud-sharing platform.

This is a time when we are witnessing an unstoppable shift in the traditional manner in which vehicle manufacturing is defined. The impending entry of electric vehicles into the market will help to give motoring experience a new identity.

The company says that this will be one of the fastest-to-charge DC vehicles taking just 30 minutes to charge the battery up to 80%. It can also run up to 325 miles (520 km) on battery power. Such promises are extremely mouthwatering and it will be interesting to see them breathe to live.
