From Mercedes, Here Is A Small, Luxurious, Executive Coupe For 2020

Mercedes steps up the expectations of luxury standards

The Mercedes-AMG CLA is the latest iteration of the brand’s sub-compact class. It is now in its fourth generation and has the making of a great coupe of this decade.

The CLA 35 is exceptional in a number of ways such as small, precise dimensions, quick performance, and nicely refined luxurious interior. For 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 sprints forward as the coupe, thus it has the same four-door coupe body style. It also spots the lovely sloping roofline, short rear end, and stout, square proportions.

The most exciting part of it, however, is the existence of the performance-oriented 302 horsepower (225 kilowatts) and 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-meters) engine. The stable sedan draws this from its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a notch higher from the usual CLA 250 that rides on a 221 hp (165 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm).

But there is also an exquisitely stylish engine: A 2.0-liter with a twin-scroll turbo that is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This one sends power to an all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring at the rear axle. Mercedes says this engine helps the CLA 35 to hit 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 4.6 seconds.

Inside, the CLA, as you expect, is a spectacular combination of materials and instruments. The infotainment space is a meeting point for creatively outstanding gauges.

The instrument cluster is resourceful that it allows you to do a lot of things at a go. This is a small car for the modern youthful executive and might only get better going into the future.
