Will this car beat Bugatti Chiron’s 300+ speed?

Last year marked a turning point for many large and small car makers. This trend is likely to continue well into 2020 as competition on the top league remains tough.

It was in 2019 that the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport sailed into history books when it became the first production car in the world to break the 300-mph barrier. It easily floored the Koenigsegg and Hennessy, in a race whose end is not any close.

Even as the Bugatti Chiron proudly holds onto this crown, it could only prove to be a matter of time before the fight starts all over again. Koenigsegg is already fighting back with the confirmation that a 300-mph version of the Jesko is in development.

Hopefully, it will come around at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show in March. Reliable sources say that Koenisgseggs’s concept has a very clear aim, which is to surpass the record set by Bugatti.

The fastest recorded Koenigsegg we know is the Koenigsegg Agera RS, whose top speed was recorded at 277.87 back in 2017. It was the world record holder at the time. A standard Jesko works fairly enough with a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 1,600 horsepower and 1,160 lb-ft of torque.

With this, the Jesko transcends from 0-62 mph in around 2.5 seconds. Only 125 Jeskos are to be built, with a stipulated mouth-watering price of $2.8 million. Customer is expected to enjoy their first rides in this magnificent car in early 2021.
