Special Spyker C8 Aileron LM85 Has Seen It All

The Dutch Can Make Supercars Too

After trotting the surface of the earth for about eight years, the Spyker C8 Aileron decided to roll up production in order to usher in a new model car. To do this in style, the Dutch company built the Spyker C8 Aileron LM85.

Only three examples of these goodbye vehicles were made. An outstanding characteristic passed down on Spyker’s short-lived generation was the aviation-oriented styling both in the exterior and the interior.

The car does, however, incorporate some enviable sporting techniques, borrowing several elements from modern GT races. In the exterior, for instance, the vehicle spots riveted aluminum bodywork.

It has intakes made crafted from solid billet aluminum. The bulging flared wheel arches are also a taste of modern sports racing.

In addition, the headlights choose LED lighting and this is also extended to the rear turn signals. Each of the three examples of the Spyker C8 Aileron LM85 was made to be creatively exceptional from each other, the distinguishing factor being the color scheme.

As one blends a Jet Black paint that has been blended with a Crimson Red “S,” the other gets Crimson Red to paint with a Jet Black “S,” while the final one third is washed with Jet Black paint with a Golden “S.” The special 10-spoke wheel design in each of the three Spykes further puts each one them apart as the rim is matched to the body color.

The tire sizes are amazingly huge, measuring 235/35 in front and 295/30 in the rear. This is a vintage car that is worth celebrating.

If its production had continued, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that it was attempting to fly at some point.
