This Is What BMW Future Sporting Will Look Like

The future of autonomous driving is coming rather too fast. We are starting to feel and experience every bit of it in a manner hitherto unseen. BMW is among the big brands ready for the huge leap and investment.

If you haven’t heard of the BMW i8, then you are missing out on the company’s futuristic thinking. But there is the BMW M Vision Sports concept that is pushing the boundaries just a little further.

It is a hybrid sports vehicle that gives us BMW’s electrification intention and the ability to utilize intelligent technologies. Consistent on the Vision M Next is the short front, long rear proportions that emphasize the mid-engine approach.

In the words of Adrian van Hooydonk senior vice president at BMW Group, the M Vision “demonstrates how state-of-the-art technology can make the experience of driving yourself purer and more emotionally engaging.” It is a people-focused car that will make things as easy as possible.

Hooydonk says, “Design and technology make the ‘Ease’ and ‘Boost’ experiences more natural and more intense.” There are very interesting times for vehicle manufacturers especially for the ability to take advantage of the technology.

The sporty vehicle coming around in 2020 is just a glimpse of what the future holds. This car adorned with PHEV drive (an electric motor at both the front and rear axle) gives out a pure-electric rear-wheel drive and electric all-wheel drive.

It also has a four-cylinder petrol engine producing power that goes to the rear wheels. With the ability to generate 600 horsepower and hits 60mph in just 3.0 seconds.
