The Revival Of The Alfa Romeo: A Comeback That Will Make The Competition Stiff

Alfa Romeo Aims To Have A Redesigned Version Of The Sporting Ring

The journey to a two-door coupe version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia has kept speculators busy for some time. The matter is likely to come to rest now as the Italian car maker is said to be working on a revival of the GTV model and will have higher performance and more powerful than the Giulia Quadrifoglio sedan. Although the GTV will have a life of its own in many aspects,it carries visible characteristics from the Giulia. Here are some interesting upgrades that will come with the new coupe.

The GTV will come with an 8.8-inch infotainment screen that has a voice enabled activation, as well as smartphone connectivity enabled by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There will also be variants with a 3.5-inch screen, whereas higher trims will have a 7.0-inch display. The GTV is also expected to deliver as much as 600 horsepower from twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 engine(The same engine is responsible for 505 horsepower in the Giulia Quadrifoglio).

As it is with several modern premium ranges, electric power will allow as much as 30 miles range driving. The interior features Alcantara leather, a sports steering wheel while the front wheels will be significantly enhanced. With a sloping roof, the GTV will have reduced headroom although the legroom could remain just as that in the Guilia.

Prices for the 2020 Alfa Romeo GTV are rumored to hover around $43,000(close to $5,000 more than the Giulia base trim)The remodeled GTV Quadrifoglio, might go to as much as $78,000.
Alfa Romeo might have the advantage of a recognizable brand name but it is clearly in a competitive range.
