#27: “Letterkenny” (Season 7) Hulu – Release Date October 14, 2019

This quick-witted Canadian production is similar to “Trailer Park Boys” but is more keen on the puns and the punchlines. The series follows the escapades of residences in a small town in Canada with Irish roots called “Letterkenny” with four groups – the hicks, the skids, the hockey players, and the Christians.
This series is based on a series of YouTube skit shorts called “letterkenny problems” and the cast goes on tour to perform some of these skits live.
Creator and lead actor, Jared Keeso, says that he based the series off of observations of a rural town in Canadian that he would play hockey at.
One of the main cast members of “Trailer Park Boys,” Jonathan Torrens, makes a cameo in Season 6, Episode 4 “Dyck’s Slip Out” playing Noah Dyck. You may know Torrens for his role as J-Roc on “Trailer Park Boys.”
#26: “Derry Girls” (Season 2) Netflix – Release Date August 2, 2019

The Netflix series takes you on a blast to the past following a group of teenage girls and a boy through their time at preparatory school located in the town of Derry in Northern Ireland.
In tradition with Northern Irish culture, in January there was a mural commissioned featuring the five main characters on the gable end of a bar in the town of Derry. Murals are customary to depict the culture and history of the region.
Though the main character play teenagers they’re actually a bit older, with some of the girls being in their 20s and cast member Nicola Coughlan was actually 30 when production began.
