The Audi Q8 – The SUV That Is Right On Point
The Audi A8 Is A Wholesome Package
The demand for SUVs, the attention to details by consumers, the quest for improved technology and the competitiveness of vehicles in this class has driven manufacturers to think outside the box, quite literary. The result is that better machines with enhanced performance through cutting-edge technologies are gracing our roads.
The Audi Q8 is proving to be an equal competitor and has all the characteristics of a great performer. It is built on the template of the larger three-row Audi Q7.
However, it quickly moves to distinguish itself by cutting the number of passengers to just five. Among things that Audi has evidently hit right is its latest releases of the infotainment system found in some of its new brands.
In the Q8 for instance, the system comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that vibrates slightly once you press on an icon. This means you have a responsive system that tells you when you make choices on it.
It behaves like a smartphone interface where you can drag icons around simply by holding on them for around a second. You can also create App shortcuts for your convenience.
This is a new one! You are able to place icons to sections you are most comfortable with. Audi further says that the system will also be fitted with voice recognition tools. Epic!
The Q8 comes with a 335-hp, 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This essentially means that you can run the car on electric power for a short distance.
This feature, says Audi, will be more prominent and enhanced in vehicles coming out of the Audi garage including the 2019 A8. Picking speeds from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, the Q8 ranks comfortably in the class of great SUVs in its category.
The standard suspension gives the driver a choice of several driving modes. There is also an optional suspension that is able to raise the wheels a little more above the ground so that rough terrain becomes a leisure walk.
In the class of luxury SUV, this is one machine that will be passionately competitive. Deliveries are expected to start before a year but our bet is that consumers will fall head over heels with it.
