Bollinger Motors Unveils Boxy Electric Trucks
Here Is An Electric Off-Roader You Will Love
Michigan based startup Bollinger Motors has been hard at work doing something worth the silence. The company recently unwrapped a four-door version of its two forthcoming trucks dubbed the B1 and B2.
From a distance, you notice the close resemblance of this car with the Jeep Wrangler, especially on the B1. Nonetheless, even with the new design, the boxy off-roader hasn’t strayed too far from the original pieces it brought back in 2017.
The bare-bare bones approach offroad trucks is no doubt an enviable route to the top. The four-door SUV and pickup have been given humongous 120-kilowatt-hour battery packs, as well as dual electric motors.
With this, they are able to pull around 614 hp and 688 lb-ft of torque. These are massively powerful cars yet they still manage 4.5 seconds from 0-60 mph. They can carry over 5,000 pounds and tow 7,500 pounds.
Using the fully independent adjustable hydro-pneumatic suspension, this car has a ground clearance of 15 inches. It is adjustable up and down by five inches. Both have B1 and the B2 has removable roof panels.
This is work in progress but it has so far been sufficiently demonstrated that these could be some of the most outstanding road monsters ever. What makes it even tastier it’s their full-electric range, making them among the first off-roaders to take this route.
