Beefy And Pompous: This Is The CTS-V

The Cadillac CTS model was first introduced in 2004. Over the years and as expected, a lot of changes have come along and the latest model is unsurprisingly a superior, well articulated. Where the earlier model fetched 400-hp from a 5.7-liter V-8 engine mated to a six-speed manual and driving the rear wheels, the modern car is a sedan that carries a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine.

It is only available as a sedan having shed the coupe and the wagon. But you must bear in mind that this is one very heavy car that has to carry equivalent specifications in chassis, body, engine spacing, and all.

As a luxury car brand, exceptions are often too high and such a sedan cannot afford to get the simple things wrong. The exterior is sufficiently meaty and the wide open front grille characteristic of Cadillacs breathes in as much air.

This is a 640 horsepower vehicle that also does 630 pound-feet of torque. It sprints to 60 mph in a paltry 3.7 seconds while hitting the top speed of 200 mph.

This car also wears some lovely technology such as the CUE interface, that has been styled to read tablet-like gestures. It is responsible for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay software, control navigation, audio among others.

Then there is the OnStar tech that helps to spread LTE data into the car, and to enables the use of wireless hotspot around it. With all the transformation it has undergone, the CTS-V still remains one of the most affordable sedans in its range
