Car Parts From Trash? Only In Venezuela!
Venezuelan Engineers Print Car Parts From Trash
Apparently, the economy down in Venezuela isn’t doing very well but a pair of engineers have found a way to mint their way out of the crisis.
lbermar Dominguez and John Naizzir have taken advantage of revolutionary technology to turn heaps of trash to 3-D printed car part.Their efforts have slowly and gradually borne fruits as they now supply 13 Venezuelan firms with the filament. They are able to produce plastic parts such as transmission gear cogs for a number of companies. They argue that this method is effective in reducing the overall cost of production.
This is an effective way of turning around a hopeless situation to profitability. With the economy recording an annual inflation rate of close to 50,000 percent, even resilient manufacturing industries must be in some deep trouble and solutions such as these will provide immense relief.
Luckily, the duo has received a lot of much-needed support and continue to encourage manufacturers to take up 3D printing. “Despite the very challenging outlook, we receive a lot of support because people take hope from our project.”
3-D technology is being used across several industries and posses huge potential in cost-cutting.The engineers efforts are coincidentally timely, coming at a time when automakers are seeking alternatives not only to motor powering but also to body and interior solutions for their cars.
