Infiniti Project Black S Sees Looks Into The Future

What’s Next For Infiniti Project Black S

Infiniti intends to have updated to new model features and electric powertrains by 2021. Even as it is now, great strides have been made and the Project Black S prototype was launched recently at a private party in Paris. It is supposed to deliver 563-horsepower and has been developed in partnership with the Renault Sports Formula One Team.
From next year the Prototype will be vigorously tested on the track and thereafter plans for mass production will be rolled out.

Notably, the prototype currently does not carry any features of a Formula One race. Among outstanding features are the dual air vents in the front of the hood and a wide front splitter.

The rear wing has a carbon fiber finishing making the aerodynamic profile akin to Renault F1 race cars. It gives awesome downforce with the ability to efficiently handle up to 200 mph during a race.

An electrified Infiniti will ultimately be a game changer and with plans to electrify all Infinitis, performance will move a notch higher. One of the 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 is fitted with three motor generator units delivering considerable power.

The combination of Renault Sport’s ability into the Infinity points to heightened capabilities in the vehicle. There is detailed collaboration which saw Infiniti’s Hong Kong headquarter act as a center for key decisions while the design was effected at the Renault Sports Formula One Team in the UK in conjunction with Renault Sports Racing in France.
